Akinori Shimodaira
Biography
Akinori Shimodaira was born in
Tokyo in 1973. In 1999, he received his B.F.A in sculpture from
Zokei Art University, Tokyo. After graduation, he began making
artwork to create an imaginary world through writing, objects,
and music. His colorful artworks have been in featured in various
magazines such as GRAPHIC, CREAM, and NEOMU.
He also creates illustrations and graphics for advertising, album
covers, and is beginning to work in sculpture and live drawing.
His first art book, Mabataki, was released in May 2006
through a Japanese publisher.
