While continuing their work as individual artists, Oliver Halsman Rosenberg and Clint Taniguchi have at the same time collaborated as Crust and Dirt since 2004, showing most recently in 2006 at the Drawing Center in New York and New Langton Arts in San Francisco. Their work has also been seen at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts; Western Exhibitions, Chicago; Samson Projects, Boston; and Transparent Gallery, New York. Oliver and Clint are also co-founders of the San Francisco gallery ‘Triple Base’.
“Almost every work they [Crust and Dirt] have ever made thus far has been intended to make people feel better about themselves and to do so by awakening them to the possibility of feeling a connection to others.”
Lawrence Rinder, former curator of Contemporary Art, Whitney Museum, New York
